THERE ARE VARIOUS WAYS TO START WITH WATERCOLOURS AS A BEGGINNER . YOU CAN LEARN TO DIRECTLY PAINT OR PAINT WITH A SKETCH. THERE ARE NUMEROUS METHODS ABOUT THE TYPES OF PAINTING YOU WANT TO MAKE.

THERE ARE DIFFERENT WAYS TO DRAW EACH ONE OF THEM. FOR SEMI-REALISM I PREFER TO USE THE ANDREW LOOMIS METHOD.

THE PAINTING TECHNIQUES
There are two kinds of basic techniques in watercolours that you should really have hold of .And these are:
WET-ON-WET
as it is clear by its name, this painting involves applying damp paint on a damp paper.This involves preparing your paper so that colour can freely flow through it to give patterns like :
you can even paint a whole painting with this
it can really create some amazing things..
WET-ON-DRY
Wet on dry technique involves aplying wet paint , over a dry paper surface.
the consistency of color should be made on the palette with water, so that paper soaks up different layers of it, and it leaves a thin layer over it.you should be aware about the amount of water you use.

HERE ARE TIPS FOR THE DAY
- USE CERAMIC PALLETES AS A BEGGINNER CAUSE NOTHING MIXES PAINTS AS WELL AS A CERAMIC PALLETE DOES.
- SKETCH LIGHTLY BEFOR PAINTING, SO THAT IT IS EASY TO ERASE THE HARD EDGES.I PREFER TO USE KNEADABLE ERASER FOR IT.
